From tough and rough to meek and mild
Carl does not carry much with him, except his backpack and tent
Being obedient … that is exactly what Carl Dippenaar from Ermelo has done, and he is walking carrying a cross spreading the Word of God around.
“I was a very rough person and once God came into my life, I am a changed person and now I am doing what God tells me to do. Most of the time I am spreading the Word of God,” said Carl.
Carl plans to walk all the way to Komatipoort and even Cape Town for Jesus.
He was seen in eMalahleni on Friday, August 21 on his way to Bethal.
“I have been speaking at schools and churches, giving my testimony to everyone I meet along the route as I walk,” said Carl.
He plans to do the walk along the coastal route all the way to Cape Town.
According to Carl this walk should take him about five months.
Carl does not carry much with him, except his backpack and tent.
Inside the bag he only has a few pieces of clothing and emergency food.
“I have been blessed to get accommodation from town to town; if I don’t make a certain town by the evening, I just camp out where ever I am,” said Carl.
So if you see a person walking next to the road with a cross, stop and speak to him or you can make a donation – it goes to a good cause as he purchases bibles and distributes them where he can.
“I don’t like to have my photo taken as it’s not about me, but it’s about God,” said Carl.
