Teenagers ambushed into a dog fight

A smaller breed cross-pitbull sustained serious injuries in a suspected set-up dog fighting match.

What was a “meet up” for dogs to breed turned into a vicious dog fight.

On Sunday, September 6, five local teenagers were allegedly approached by older men stating that they would like their dog to breed with one of the teenagers’ dogs.

The teenagers agreed and took their smaller breed cross-pitbull to the area in Tasbet Park 1 provided by the older men.

On arrival, they walked into a set-up dog fighting match.

The teenagers’ dog sustained serious injuries.

The Witbank SPCA and Witbank Community Policing Forum are currently on the scene.
