(Video) Another attempt to ‘rescue’ Promise

The team proceeded to clean the area where Promise had been living at for the last three months, but Promise was not ready to leave as she immediately stated that she had unfinished business on the streets and could not leave yet

Bishop Jeremiah Zulu will not give up on the well-known lady, Promise or better known as the ‘klipvrou’ as he tried to take her back to a place of safety.

WITBANK NEWS reported in June on the swift return of the famous ‘klipvrou’, Promise Ndlovu after she had been rescued by Bishop Jeremiah Zulu in November 2019.

Promise had returned to her known spot because of the national cigarette ban when she could not get her cigarettes at her new home during the lockdown.

On Wednesday, August 26 Bishop Zulu and his team returned armed with good intentions, prayer and a packet of cigarettes.

The team proceeded to clean the area where Promise had been living at for the last three months, but Promise was not ready to leave as she immediately stated that she had unfinished business on the streets and could not leave yet.

Bishop Zulu started praying at the area and was joined by other community members to pray for Promise to be released from what they believe is a stronghold that keeps her there.

The area was cleaned and painted and all the dirty items were removed.

After hours of trying to convince Promise to leave with them, they decided to leave and return in the morning.

“What was astonishing is that by 09:00 the next morning she had already received two new blankets and a delicious meal from the public and was on her spot comfortable in the morning sun,” Zulu explained

Although the kind gestures of our residents are keeping her on the streets and that is enabling her to stay on the streets.

“The problem that we are facing is that the public understandably trying to help her by giving her money, cigarettes and parcels are continuously enabling her to stay on the streets,” said the distraught Bishop Zulu.

One thing that is for sure is that Bishop Zulu and his team will not give up on her.

“We will continue going back until she is back and safe in her room with everything she needs. We ask that the public will pray for us and Promise, no woman should sleep on the streets, please carry us in prayer,” Bishop Zulu concluded.
