Tips on starting out and making photography cheaper
This is such an awesome lens and will help you understand and play around with aperture and it’s about R2 000 for the lens

We all know that photography is a very expensive career and hobby.
“When I started out I was always thinking of getting better equipment obviously, but found some ways like mimicking a softbox/umbrella in studio. This trick made me accomplish some amazing ‘studio shots’, wedding, fashion, portrait and lifestyle photographer Donovan Roets explained.
The fact is you have to invest as you go along, so obviously you need a good DSLR camera. So if you are on a budget, get a good entry level camera body that usually comes with a kit lens. Next thing to invest which is cheap but effective is a 50mm lens, also known as a “nifty fifty”. This is such an awesome lens and will help you understand and play around with aperture and it’s about R2 000 for the lens. And of course a 110cm reflector. After you purchased these, invest in a flash. There are very good flashes out there which you can buy if you are on a budget, like yongnuo flashes.
“This is my advice to people who want to start out but are on a budget. You will be able to experiment with natural lighting and one light studio setup. You will obviously later on get triggers for your flash to work off camera. If I can give one tip on using your flash on camera for a studio shot, is to go buy a foam board and use it to make your flash bounce on to the board and then on to your model. This is also very effective if you have a white ceiling.”
Photography equipment is expensive and you have to invest as you grow as a photographer and your business.
