There will be no electricity for suburbs feeding off Malherbe Substation as next week kicks off.

The electrical team is required to carry out a planned 19-hour power outage at Malherbe  Substation scheduled for Monday,  December 14  from 05:00 until midnight.

Switchgear panels need to be replaced on the substation.

The following areas will be affected:

• Del Judor Ext 1
• Del Judor Mall
• Del Judor Proper
• Highland Mews
• Witbank Ext 5 (Areas Pick n Pay Hyper)
• Witbank Ext 8 (Areas around Eskom Park)
• Witbank Ext 16 (Areas around Formula 1 hotel)
• Witbank Ext 41 (Klipfontein Industrial)

The areas were identified at the time of this notice and can change due to ring feeds on the network.

“The network must be treated as live during this period,” warned municipal spokesperson Mr Lebo Mofokeng.
