SAPS members stands up for the disabled in the community

Police officers and other staff members took part of this initiative.

Witbank SAPS employees enjoyed a boerewors drive-thru as a part of celebrating Casual Day.

The police department held a mini function for themselves on Friday, September 3, where Captain Eddie Hall and Sergeant David Ratau were the ‘head chefs’.

Police officers and other staff members took part of this initiative.

Captain Hall said that they participating in the national occasion to show support and to honor the disabled people of our society and the disabled members of the SAPS.

“It is important that we empower the disabled people and remind them that the police are there to protect them, as they might be targets to criminals,” said Capt Hall.

“We want to ensure that our community is safe and those who are sometimes vulnerable are not affected,” added Capt Hall.
