Social Development celebrates Women’s Month by empowering female employees
The Mpumalanga Department of Social Development celebrated Women’s Month by empowering female employees with information on legal rights, financial empowerment, mental health and GBVF.
The Mpumalanga Department of Social Development marked Women’s Month with a celebration for its employees on August 28, using the occasion to equip women with knowledge on legal rights, financial empowerment, mental health, and gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF).
The programme featured a series of informative sessions aimed at empowering women both personally and professionally.

Delivering the keynote address, the Mpumalanga Department of Social Development Head Makhazasi Radebe encouraged women to remain resilient despite the challenges they encounter.
“It is a joy and a privilege to be here with all of you. I am not special – I am also a woman, and I experience many of the challenges that other women go through,” said Radebe. “But I have made a promise to myself that I will not allow those challenges to break me. Every woman must know her story, believe in herself and never give up.”
