Lynnville satellite police station reopened after they had been closed for renovations. The police station reopened on Thursday, September 23 after weeks of renovations.
The station was renovated by Maison Investments and Emazulwini wase Africa.
The local businesses had planned to repaint the satellite police station yet they went an extra mile to reinstall windows and improve locks. Surrounding businesses and community members attended the reopening including Brigadier Sifiso Cele from Witbank police station, MMC for community services, Cllr. Derrick Skhosana and other local councilors.
The Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Local Municipality, Mrs. Linah Malatjie said that she was excited to hear about the renovations that happened at the police station and that the residents will be able to get help from an improved satellite police station.
“We are humbled because we these renovations were done by local businesses that were never selfish, but shared what they had with the community and we hope the community takes good care of their police station as it helps them with what they need,” Malatji added.
Brigadier Lindani Ndlovu, station commander at the station said that he would like to thank everyone that supported them.
“Maison Investments and Emazulwini wase Africa asked to improve the conditions in our satellite police station, and we were very grateful for that. Today, we can see that they have done an amazing job as it is a conducive environment and our staff will be happy to work in this space. We are very appreciative as the community will be able to get help from a fully operational station,” said Ndlovu.
