Abram Shabalala singing a comeback song

Last year Shabalala was preparing to tour overseas, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic all was put on ice

Well-known gospel artist Abram Shabalala is on comeback trail and wants to assure his followers that he is back forever.

After encountering problems and challenges ‒ one of which was a break-in at his music studio where all his equipment was stolen ‒ he had to start all over again.

He said all is not lost; after an absence of about eight years.

The break-in according to Shabalala happened while he had just bought a new car and was depended on his music to bring bread to the table.

“This was a setback for me and it was back to square one. Some artist helped me to pick up the pieces, but it was an uphill for me. Even though I’m still faced with challenges, I was able to make ends meet and my music company has made it possible for me to stream my DVD on YouTube and followers can access them through that platform,” Shabalala said.

Shabalala thanked all the pastors who have helped him to be back on his feet by promoting him at their churches.

He has also promoted his music at different malls and shopping centres.

The pastors have also helped him to raise funds and to promote him.

Some of the churches who have helped him are the Rock of Ages, New Jerusalem Ministries, Al Shaddai and others.

Last year Shabalala was preparing to tour overseas, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic all was put on ice.

Shabalala is still waiting for the relief fund from the national department of sports arts and culture as promised by the minister.

He is looking forward to a bright and better future and thanking his followers for their patience.

He is busy recording an album.
