Artist says thank you
Remember said the exposure from WITBANK NEWS enables young artists to see that it can be done if one is fully committed, dedicated and has a love for his work.
As a form of appreciation and support Remember Tsholofelo Makgoga saw it fit to present WITBANK NEWS intern journalist Emmanuel Mthimunye with a gift.
He said the present is coming from his heart and is a sign that he appreciates the support and exposure Emmanuel and WITBANK NEWS has afforded him.
“It was a hard struggle for many people, including an artist like myself since the start of Covid-19. One has to do a lot of adjustments and Emmanuel came along like a saviour, not only to me but to other young and upcoming artists too. He supported me and my work and I got a lot of exposure after my work was published and even getting an interview from Emalahleni FM. I also received much feedback from social media platforms,” said Remember.
He said the exposure also enables young artists to see that it can be done if one is fully committed, dedicated and has a love for his work. Remember said they asked for advice on how to navigate through since most of them are talented and meaning that their talents will be recognised.
He said this also allowed me to help them by being their mentor and learning from them as well.
“I will urge parents to support their children’s talents; they must encourage and support them. Education is a priority, but talents should be supported,” concluded Remember.
*Emmanuel started his internship with WITBANK NEWS in April as a TUT journalism student through the Caxton Internship Programme. He has left the newspaper at the end of September to broaden his horizons.
