Apostle Joseph Nyalunga said the organisation was started in 2007 by its president in Israel after seeing a vision from God

Global Fund For Jesus (GFFJ) distributed food hampers to thousands of people in the city.

The event was held on Saturday, November 13 and the people were from all the different areas of eMalahleni.

GFFJ is a South African based global organisation and a universal platform that works to bring the Kingdom of God on earth by focusing on alleviation of global and social justice issues through resources mobilisation and program implementation networks, partnership and strategic alliances aimed to address poverty and uplift vulnerable and disadvantaged population through education, health, food security, job creation, economic empowerment and entrepreneurship projects.

Apostle Joseph Nyalunga said the organisation was started in 2007 by its president in Israel after seeing a vision from God.

He said that the organisation has six key objectives and they have already distributed food hampers in KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Gauteng will be the last province to have their chance of distribution.

He added to say that next year they are aiming to donate school uniforms and stationery in all the provinces and aiming to spread love all over the world in the future as they are passionate about their work.

Ms Nomsa Mazibuko thanked the organisation for their generosity and thanked the volunteers and the students for giving their time in helping during the distribution and the packing of the hampers.

Ms Phindile Nkosi, manager of the Transversal Unit in the office of the executive mayor thanked the organisation as well.

“The state of the nations globally is marked by a stark health, education, and development inequalities, post Covid-19 economic recession, rising infectious and chronic diseases mortality, rising unemployment and poverty levels and rampant government inefficiencies, fraud and corruption in all strata of society, thus negatively impacting the health status and well being of children, families, communities and the population worldwide,” reads a statement from GFFJ.

GFFJ, therefore, seeks to identify and distribute gift hampers to disadvantaged and indigent individuals within the communities in four provinces.
