Moruti Makuse Primary School staff together with the parents and some community members to help one of their own.

The Moruti Makuse Primary School staff together with the parents and some community members decided to embark on a fundraising drive

This came after a tragedy happened when one of the Grade 7 learners of the school committed suicide recently.

This came as a shock to the school teachers, learners, parents and community members, hence the steps towards the fundraising campaign.

The school was supported by some stakeholders: Maison Investments, Mini Meat, two Pick n Pays (Plumer Street and Klipfontein), Lefa Mazibuko, Tebogo Hlophe, Mandla Mabuza and Christ Masete.

The school visited the family to offer condolences and support.

The school also took a step further and purchase a fridge, stove, wardrobe, door frames with doors, bed set, kitchen cupboards, chairs and also bought the two learners still at the school some clothes for Christmas and groceries.

“The management of the school, educators, parents and the supporting staff at the school would like to thank everybody who contributed towards the campaign. May the good Lord bless them abundantly,” reads a statement from the school.
