Matriculants shine at matric farewell

From Lamborghinis to Ferraris, the cars were almost as dashing as the sharply dressed gentlemen.

The weekend may have started with a rainy mood. Still, the afternoon brought lots of sunshine, both in the weather and the lives of matriculants who said ‘farewell’ to Cambridge Academy.

The matric farewell took place at Cambridge Academy on November 25. To say the day was ‘dazzling’ is an understatement.

From Lamborghinis to Ferraris, the cars were almost as dashing as the sharply dressed gentlemen who opened the vehicle doors for their matriculant counterparts who dazzled with their dresses.

At a matric farewell, one would usually expect the happy couples to be the ones who climb out of the vehicles and smile in young love.

However, the matriculants at Cambridge Academy showed how the event is also for friendship when some attended with their friend ‘date’ with big smiles.

Photographers on the day may have been the ones who made the flash, but the matriculants glowed like the stars they were.

Parents in attendance may have been a bit blue as the morning’s weather about their children, now young adults, leaving school behind and entering a new era.

However, the proud smiles that shone like the sunny afternoon quickly made the afternoon even brighter.

Teachers in attendance also dressed to impress and had big smiles as they congratulated the matriculants.
