Swimmers scoop up confidence during a gala in eMalahleni

Nkangala District Swimming is taking extra ‘strokes’ to prepare ‘new’ swimmers for bigger galas.

The weather played along to give swimmers a chance to enjoy a fun-filled day over the weekend.

‘New’ swimmers had the opportunity to show off in the swimming pool at St Thomas Aquinas School during a 0/1 gala hosted by Nkangala District swimming.

“The day aims to get the swimmers to love the sport and identify gems among the ‘new’ swimmers,” Ms Elsabé Boyd from Nkangala District swimming said.

The other schools and Learn to Swim (LTS) clubs that participated were: Laerskool Middelburg, Laerskool CR Swart, Middelburg Primary, Laerskool Secunda, Laerskool Kanonkop, Cambridge Academy, Aqua Adventures LTS, Bhukudani Kids and Killer Whale Aquatics.
