First place for Ermelo’s first team against Krielpark

The first rugby teams of Ermelo Primary School and Laerskool Krielpark had a match on Saturday, March 11, at Laerkool Krielpark, and the young players gave it their best ‘try’.

The past weekend brought rugby action and joy to the hearts of young and future rugby professionals when the first rugby teams of Ermelo Primary School and Laerskool Krielpark met on the rugby field, ready for action.

The match took place on Saturday, March 11, at Laerkool Krielpark.

The young players gathered on the field on a sunny day, ready to ‘tackle’ the match head-on.

Parents cheered loud and proud for their young and tough players on the field who gave it their all with each pass and kick.

Fellow classmates also joined in the cheering, and classmates could be heard clapping their hands as they encouraged their friends on the field.

Over the cheering were the delicious smells of candy floss, boerewors rolls, corn dogs and many more delicious snacks for sale on the day.

The young men of both teams displayed good sportsmanship and were encouraged by their coaches to do their best.

Both teams brought their A-game to the match, but there can only be one winner: Ermelo Primary School.

The team took victory with a score of 24 to 15 for Laerskool Krielpark. The coaches for the teams are extremely proud of their players.
