Are you the 2023 Business Woman of the Year?
Registration with payment for the competition closes on July 31 and the submitting of the videos and motivations need to be submitted by August 31.
The South African Council for Business Women (SACBW) is proud to launch its 2023 Recognition Awards.
The annual awards acknowledge and give recognition to women who excel in formal business, as entrepreneurs and to those who work in their local communities to improve the lives of other women.
“We believe that, by giving recognition through our business network, we also encourage other women to start their own businesses. The unemployment rate amongst women is still at an extremely high level and we want women to realise their potential to earn a living. By starting a business, women can become financially independent and be able to care for their families,” said Hanlie Delport, President of the SACBW.
The awards have different categories, namely Business Woman of the Year (for women that have been in business for more than three years), Entrepreneur of the Year, our Rising Star (for entrepreneurs with less than three years’ in business), Social Entrepreneur of the Year, our Warrior Woman (for members of the SACBW who work in the communities) and have a registered NPO, NPC or Foundation and Community Warrior Woman (for woman who work in the community, finding their own funding and support for projects that uplift people in the community).

“In our 35th anniversary year we want to invite women to enter for the competition to prove to themselves that they are worthy, they are successful and that they do make an impact. Every woman deserves her time in the spotlight where she can share her journey from struggle to success, from wannabe to winner,” said Delport.
The SACBW has a national footprint and branches in the different regions will select their local winners, who will then become the finalists for the national competition.
The national winners will be announced at the SACBW annual gala that will take place in Gauteng in October this year.
