Hoërskool Patriot plays their part

Sister Daphne Dlamini encourages everyone able to donate blood and help save a life.

Hoërskool Patriot has been taking part in the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) blood drive recently.

On Wednesday, April 19 the SANBS bus and staff set up shop at the school and welcomed students and teachers to donate much needed blood.

The organisation has been very busy campaigning as the levels of blood at the blood bank has been very low.

Sister Daphne Dhlamini was at the helm and made sure that everything was running smoothly. “Our aim for the day is 50 units and I am sure we will make it,” said Sister Dhlamini.

The SANBS team managed to get 77 units on the day, surpassing their expectations and making the day an overall success.
