Six people were killed in a crash on the R555 road between Ogies and eMalahleni.

A Toyota Avanza and a truck were involved in a side-swipe collision on Tuesday, June 27.

The driver of the Avanza is believed to have lost control and collided with the truck.

The victims were all Avanza passengers. The driver and five passengers were among those killed. They were pronounced dead on the spot.

The truck driver was only slightly injured.
