The community of Spring Valley is in shock after the death of a member of the Community Policing Forum (CPF).

On Wednesday, July 5 in the evening hours, Richard Sibuya was having dinner with his girlfriend when an unknown male wearing a face mask kicked the door open and shot Sibuya point blank.

He was declared dead on the scene. 

Sibuya has been described as a dedicated and hard worker in his community. 

According to police reports this murder is possibly connected to another murder that took place in Spring Valley earlier that day.

Police are investigating.
