Three confirmed deaths following N12 collisions

The collisions follow heavy mist on the N12.

The collision accidents on the N12 this morning has taken the lives of three people.

According to reports, the three deceased all travelled in one vehicle. It is believed the passengers’ vehicle hit the back of another still standing vehicle after thick early morning mist caused bad visibility on the N12.

The road still remains closed and medical and police personnel are on scene.

The multiple collisions include articulated trucks, sedans, and light delivery vehicles.

Motorists are once again encouraged to reduce speed, increase following distance, and switch their headlights on when driving in misty conditions.
