Thiart too much for Titans

The Mpumalanga Rhinos are gearing up for the national cricket competition in George.

This weekend dished up some exciting cricket.

The Mpumalanga Rhinos clashed against the Titans from Pretoria in a warm-up match before the teams compete in the national cricket competition in George in October.

The 50-over match took Place at WH de Klerk School on Saturday, September 16.

From the start, it was the Rhinos that stormed forward with great team spirit and good bowling.

They won the match with eight wickets.

Thiart Wirths’ onslaught was just too much for the visitors.

He took four wickets for only seven runs.

The team turned on the momentum when they picked up the bats.

Luke Ogilvie ended with 60 runs not out, and Thiart 17 runs not out.

“This was a good match, and we are ready for the coming George competition,” said Damian Rieb, one of the players.
