Motorists, be aware of construction underway at the Christiaan de Wet and Woltemade Street intersection

This is due to the Emalahleni Local Municipality pipe line project works currently underway in that area.

The road is currently closed from the Christiaan de Wet and Woltemade intersection up to the corner of Gladiola and Woltemade Street due to ongoing construction work.

The Klarinet and Siyanqoba Bulk Water Supply Project is a 1.8km long pipeline of 800mm GRP pipes with an estimated budget of R28 000 000 being installed in this area.

Local Councilors Maureen Scheepers and Anthonie Brits for Wards 20 and 22 where the project is taking place, said that closures will be implemented on different portions of the road, as the team moves along from Woltemade into the main road Christiaan De Wet up to Voortrekker Road.

Closures will be implemented on different portions of the roads at the project teams continue to work.
