Mr Teen eMalahleni crowned

Competition held to crown next Mpumalanga Teen.

It has been an eventful afternoon at the Civic Centre filled with glitz and glamour.

It was that time of year again when prestigious judges chose the next Mr Emalahleni Teen winner.

Nolwazi Majola and Owami Sambo.

In the end, Xolo Mbungela walked away with the Mr Mpumalanga Teen title, won the public’s hearts, and also took the Public Choice Award.

This year, the pageant partnered with the Teach a Boy Child Foundation, and the winner will be the next brand ambassador.

The event took place on October 7 when excitement filled the air.

You could also feel the nerves from backstage as nervous contestants awaited their turn on the catwalk.

The contestants have been put through many pre-tasks heading up to the final where they had to go out into the community, do philanthropy tasks and help their communities.

“After eight months, we will finally crown the next ambassador from 10 contestants hailing from different municipalities in Mpumalanga,” said the organisers of the pageant competition.

The contestants were reminded that winning does not only rely on looks but brains too.

Speech, eloquence and character are some of the judges’ scoring points.

The winner will have many to look forward to in the future as he will carry out many community outreach projects and help build the already prestigious brand.
