The young sport stars were honoured for their achievements on the sports field.

Sport stars from the Tshwane University of Technology eMalahleni campus were awarded accolades after an amazing year of sport.

On Thursday, October 26 the awards evening was held and a lifetime achievement award was handed over to none other than the father of soccer in South Africa, Jomo Sono.

Jomo, as humbled by the gesture and said nothing in life comes easy.

“If you fall seven times, you make sure you get up eight times,” Jomo said.

 

The sportswoman of the year award went to Lethukuthula Mabika and the sportsman of the year award went to Thabang Nkuna.
