New masters league in full swing

See when your favourite local soccer teams will be battling it out.

The clubs affiliated with the Witbank KwaGuqa Masters League will have their fixtures on Sunday, November 5 after taking a break.

The league has six teams affiliated to it after it was formed on June 4 this year.

President of the league Phillip Phatudi Rapakgadi said they formed the league to bring football to the community of KwaGuqa because the league they affiliated with previously now plays all their league matches in the town.

The fixtures are:
-Maredi Masters vs Phatudi Masters at 11:00
-3D Masters vs Vithiza at 12:30.
-Dangerous Darkies vs United Masters at 14:30.

The games will be played at Empumelelweni ground next to the taxi rank.

Rapakgadi added that they do not have any competition for the teams but only the prize for the winners of the league.

He thanked all the teams affiliated with the league and said he was hoping that the league would grow in the future that the teams would set a good example to young players and that together they could make it.

“We also inviting teams to join us next season, players must be born from 1991. Joining has already been opened; the closing date is December 10,” concluded Rapakgadi.
