Water supply to be interrupted again for repairs

Water supply to be interrupted as municipality drains system for repairs.

Brace yourselves for another water outage as the Emalahleni Local Municipality carries out emergency repairs to fix a leak on the main raw water bulk pipeline.

The repair works will start today, March 12, and according to the municipality will take 18 hours to fix.

The outage will affect the entire eMalahleni water supply system for a few days, as the system will be drained for the repairs to take place.

This will take a few days for the water system to recover and fill up again once repairs are completed.

The municipality urges community members to use water sparingly as no pumping will take place during the repairs.

Plans have been put in place by the municipality to get the water system up and running as soon as possible.
