A fun run for cancer-warrior Alessia is taking place on Thursday evening

Alessia is fighting a battle against Ewing’s sarcoma, which is a rare type of bone cancer.

Alessia Tolmay is at home.
This nine-year-old girl is fighting a battle against Ewing’s sarcoma, which is a rare type of bone cancer.
She was diagnosed in October last year when she experienced severe back pain, which escalated dramatically when she woke up without any function in her legs.

“She’s been doing very well, enjoying much-deserved time at home and with friends. Alessia will be going in for a big operation end of April to remove the tumour, so we kindly ask for you to cover the operation and those who will be in the theatre with her in prayer,” mom Luzaan Tolmay requested.
On April 18, a fun run will be held for Alessia to help with the financial burden the family faces.

The race will start at 18:00 and young and old are invited to walk, run, or ride their bike in support of the brave little fighter.
Tickets are R50 per person; registration will be at the Beatrix Street gates.
Please bring along a torch or headlight.
Alessia will also be there at kick-off to witness first-hand the incredible love and support from the community.
