Refuse truck hijacking – Emalahleni woman is safe

The hijackers dropped the woman off.

The woman, working as a refuse truck driver for Emalahleni Local Municipality, who was hijacked yesterday is safe.

According to police the woman and her colleague were close to the dumping site when they were hijacked on June 5.

The colleague managed to jump out of the refuse truck and sought help at the correctional services.

The hijackers dropped the woman off in Bronkhorstspruit and she made her way to the police station.
