Brothers’ murder cases postponed again

More suspects in brothers' murder in March are still being sought, while others were released on bail

Nomvula Radebe, a mother broken by the tragic loss of her sons, Mbongeni Radebe (30) and Nkosinathi Mayela (31), in March, is out of words as the murder case of her sons does not look promising.

This comes after the Witbank Magistrate Court postponed the case again on Tuesday, June 11.

The suspects Thembinkosi Musia (23) and Prince Ratau (25) will appear in court on Wednesday, July 24. They were given bail in April.

The other suspects are still on the run.

The incident occurred when three suspects allegedly forced their way into the Radebe family home, resulting in a terrible attack that killed her beloved sons.
Radebe recounted, “They crashed through our window and door, targeting Mbongeni.”

Despite her urgent pleas for compassion, the suspects allegedly attacked her with a gun before dragging Mbongeni outside, who unfortunately never returned home alive.

“There was no need to kill them because it was not the house that burned; it was only the TV and other stuff, which we could replace,” Radebe said.

Mayela was not spared from the savagery. He was also severely assaulted.

He died in the hospital days later from his injuries.

The Radebe family is now living in fear, tormented by the memory of the horrible act and the looming presence of the culprits, who are accused of not only targeting the deceased but also assaulting the family.
