Maredi United lead the Kwa-Guqa Masters League with 23 points as All Nation Masters and 3D Masters remain in contention, with nine games left in the 2026 season.
The race for the Kwa-Guqa Masters League title is on, with teams continuing their battle for points as the 2026 season moves towards the second round.
The league, which started in May, has produced a competitive season, with teams showing improvement and determination as they aim to finish in a strong position.
With nine games remaining, Maredi United are currently leading the standings with 23 points. All Nation Masters are second on the log with 19 points, four points behind the leaders. The third-placed Dangerous Darkies have collected 14 points, while 3D Masters are fourth with 14 points.
Vhithiza Legends are on 11 points, and Peace Makers are on 10 points. Phatudi Masters are currently on nine points, followed by Shining Stars, also on nine points. St John Masters are at the bottom of the current standings with four points.
League organiser Daisy Tseka said the competition has been tougher than previous seasons because of the improvement of the teams.
“This year is very tough compared to the past two years. You cannot predict like before who will win because of the toughness of the teams. All teams want to be the champion at the end of the season,” said Tseka.
He added that seeing teams develop throughout the season has been encouraging.
“It makes me happy when I see our teams improving game by game because to get three points, you must work hard,” he said.
