Police hunt for suspect in the Lynnville murder case

Vosman police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of the culprit who murdered 37-year-old Zweli Mabogwane.

The police of Vosman are urging the community to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the murder of 37-year-old Zweli Mabogwane.

The incident occurred at the back of Lynnville Hall on Wednesday, November 20 at 04:30.

According to a preliminary investigation, a man arrived at the tennis court in Lynnville, looking for Mabogwane. The man apparently knew the victim, as he called him by his name.

After a brief confrontation, a gun was fired, and Mabogwane tried to get away.

However, the suspect pursued him, firing two more shots.

A search party was launched, and police were called to the scene.

 

Captain Elizabeth Hathi, spokesperson for the station, said, “Anyone willing to assist may contact Detective Lieutenant Colonel Poppy Mahlangu of Vosman at 082 600 8532.”
