4 arrested for kidnapping and assaulting 28-year-old from Vosman
The four suspects were arrested on Monday, December 16 and charged with kidnapping and assault.
Following the march at Vosman Police Station for #justiceforsenzo who was missing for over three weeks, Senzo Bongwe was reunited with his family.
Four suspects were arrested, and a case of kidnapping and assault was opened at the station following Bongwe’s disappearance.
The four suspects were detained in connection with the case on Monday, December 16,” Vosman Police Captain Vusi Mnisi explained.
The suspects appeared before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court earlier today (December 18).
They were released on bail and instructed to report to Vosman Police Station every day until the court appearance on Tuesday, January 21.
According to Mnisi renewed efforts in the investigation acquired critical leads to the location of Bongwe on Sunday, December 15.

Khanyisile Bongwe, mother to the victim, gained the support of many after she detailed the harrowing experience of waiting for her missing son at Vosman Police Station on social media was present in court.
She could not contain her tears after learning her son’s perpetrators will be released from custody.
“They were kidnapped and nearly killed my boy, but today they get to walk as free men. What about my son’s safety and fear of these animals? I don’t know what to do. Should I relocate my son until the next court date? How will I know that he is safe here with these men walking freely,” Bongwe cried.
