Friendly games foster community spirit and crime awareness

SAPS hosts friendly games to promote community spirit and crime awareness

The South African Police Services successfully hosted friendly matches in tug of war, netball, and soccer at Greendale High School last November.

The event aimed to promote community engagement, wellness, and crime awareness.

The event drew a sizable crowd, with community members, stakeholders, and local authorities coming together to enjoy the friendly games and promote a sense of unity and purpose.

Building on the success of this initiative, the South African Police Services aims to host more community-focused events in the future, further strengthening ties with local stakeholders and promoting a safer, more cohesive community.

Tug of war chairperson – Mpumalanga Charmaine Thabethe the organiser said, “The event was a success and we are going to host more of these.”
