Klipfontein Dam: A lost treasure in ruins

A once-popular attraction point in ruins: See the shocking state of Klipfontein Dam

Community members are outraged over the deteriorating state of Klipfontein Dam, a once-popular attraction point where families would gather to relax and have picnics.

Years ago, the dam was a pristine spot where children could play and families could braai.

However, years of neglect have turned it into a dumping ground, littered with alcohol cans, bottles, and plastic waste.

The grass is overgrown, making it difficult to walk, and the braai areas, benches, and dustbins are damaged.

The area has become an eyesore, and community members are still calling for action to restore the dam to its former glory.

WITBANK NEWS has received numerous complaints from concerned citizens, and a recent visit to the site confirmed the dire situation.

Community members are urging the municipality to take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the dam.

They demand that the area be cleaned up, and the facilities be repaired to make it a safe and enjoyable space for families once again.

Will the municipality heed the call and restore the dam to its former beauty? Only time will tell.
