The farm owner told WITBANK NEWS he was unaware that the dilapidated building was already in use, as he had an agreement with a pastor from Middelburg to fix it before using it as a rehabilitation centre.

The man, posing as the pastor, said he stays in Middelburg and drives through daily.

He said the centre was registered but failed to produce any registration papers.

This is a developing story.
