Purpose found in poverty- Koketso Mother of Nations

Koketso Mother of Nations Foundation, also known as K Mother of Nations, is up and touching lives in eMalahleni and beyond.

The foundation was established by Koketso Nobela. From just down the streets of one of the villages in Limpopo, with just one of the most underestimated backgrounds of them all, emerges a goal-driven mother of nations.

Koketso’s family lived in a mud house, with at least some days of having to ask for maize meal from their neighbours just to push through the days. The kind of struggle was then enough to teach Koketso the pain of lacking, and she stood up and let K Mother of Nations Foundation be the reason why other kids won’t have to push through days all by themselves. Despite the challenges, Koketso’s determination and faith in God propelled her forward.

The foundation’s mission is to impact lives and touch hearts through various forms of giving, materially and spiritually. From providing Christmas groceries to less privileged families to donating school uniforms and sanitary towels to children in need, the foundation has been making a tangible difference in the lives of many.

They also donated sanitary towels to Witbank Provincial Hospital.
Koketso emphasises that she experienced the harsh realities of poverty, but despite it all, Koketso endured the hardship.

“I also want to help the underprivileged because I know the pain, the effects of poverty, one of which is low self-esteem,” Koketso said.

Koketso also believes that by this foundation, she is not just giving hand-outs, but giving hope also.

The foundation just reached a milestone worth celebrating. They ran a sanitary drive with an aim to obtain at least 996 sanitary towels to end menstrual poverty for a year for about 83 learners. The goal was reached and beyond, they managed to secure about 1 619 sanitary towels, and that means the foundation will now change the lives of more than 130 learners.
