Immortal Guardians hosts fallen brothers event to honour late bikers

The event featured a range of activities that included games, a memorial service, lucky draws, and a competition that kept the attendees engaged.

The Immortal Guardians Middelburg Chapter (IGMC) recently hosted a Fallen Brothers event at the Portuguese Club in commemoration of the bikers who lost their lives in motorcycle accidents.

Hosted on July 5, the event brought together many local bike clubs and the national committee, who all came to honour the memory of the bikers who have passed on, those from the club, and also in the motorbike community at large.

Cindy van Niekerk, secretary of the club, explained that they have been hosting such events for the past couple of years because though their fellow bikers may be gone, their spirit lives on.

On the menu, they had a range of activities that included games, a memorial service, lucky draws, and a competition that kept the attendees engaged.

“Everyone was welcome, riders and non-riders, as we were all joined in the spirit of remembering our fallen brothers,” Cindy said.

Reginald Lombaard, president of the club, said the event was a resounding success, and the attendance was incredible.

“We are really grateful to everyone who took their precious time to attend and support us in honouring our brothers,” Reginald said.
