You can go fetch 40l water at the Masjid in Nicole Street

Residents with boreholes are asked to contact their ward councillors to help provide water to their fellow residents.

Residents facing a week-long water outage are desperate for some water as they could not fill up and gear up for the water outage because there was no water in several suburbs the past few weeks.

In light of the ongoing water crisis, the Muslim Jamaat opened up entry to their borehole from the Masjid.

The borehole will be open for the public from 14:30 to 19:00.

Each recipient will be allowed a maximum of 40l of water.

“Please respect the supervisors on site and strictly adhere to these conditions,” was the message from the Jamaat.

To ease congestion and reduce waiting time, two fill-up points have been activated, located opposite Broadway and Vital Security in Nicol Street.

Subject to the pump supply, they hope to extend the distribution for the same hours continuously.

“We make du’a that Allah Ta’ala eases this hardship upon all of us and grants relief through His infinite mercy. Ameen,” the Jamaat concluded.
