MEC to meet families of arson victims
A delegation from government is expected at Vosman Police Station today for a briefing after the death of two women who were doused with petrol and set alight.
MEC Jackie Macie is going to visit the Gumede and Hill families this morning.
The MEC will give a briefing on the progress of the case.
The charges against the man who reportedly set the women alight changed from attempted murder to two counts of murder.
This follows after Nompumelelo Gumede (21) succumbed to severe burns on August 3, after spending a week fighting for her life in Witbank Hospital’s ICU unit.
Mbali Hill, who is also a victim of the same incident, passed away on August 1.
