Emma makes tireless efforts to make a difference in eMalahleni
The 30-year-old says her biggest goal is to empower and develop the youth in eMalahleni, enhancing them with knowledge that will improve their lives.
Emma Ramushu is making a significant impact in the eMalahleni community, driven by her determination to bring about change and her passion for giving back to the community and empowering the youth.
The 30-year-old entrepreneur from Klipfontein said she was instilled with the spirit of giving from a very young age, as it is a culture her family lives by.
“I’m a giver at heart because that is how I was raised. I’m such a believer in change and making things better,” she said.
Emma is not only the founder of EmberGoodness, VukaForHustle, and co-founder of the Standing Against Violence, Rape, Abuse, and Crime (SAVRAC) movement, but she is also actively working at South African Student Services Consulting, where they also give back to the youth by offering affordable courses that will improve their employability chances.
Through EmberGoodness, the visionary says her present goal is to stretch the vision and develop a group of women who are healed and ready to kickstart their own businesses, while she continues to focus on developing the youth and community at large through VukaForHustle, to ensure that they gain more experience in various fields.
Emma says that through the SAVRAC movement, they strongly oppose everything that has to do with gender-based violence.
“We want to create a safe space for our next generation so that they can live freely and better,” she said, adding that it is her biggest goal to also empower and inspire young girls to be good leaders, lessening teenage pregnancy.
The entrepreneur also started a movement called ‘Soup My Day’ which is a programme that runs through winter, all in the spirit of giving, and has so far succeeded in helping out at a charity home in Ackerville with the help of Clr Kim Fourie, ward 33 councillor.
“There are still more projects that my team and I wish to push within our community that will benefit our youth and schools that are in need,” Emma said, adding that they continue to pray for sponsorship and funding to ensure that their projects and efforts flow more easily.
