Municipality announces planned power outage at Seeke Substation

The power outage has been planned for preventative maintenance.

The Emalahleni Local Municipality has recently announced an upcoming planned power outage that will affect parts of eMalahleni.

The outage at Seeke Substation planned for preventative maintenance will take place on August 28 from 08:00 to 18:00, affecting Kwa-Thomas Mahlanguville and part of Lynnville.

However, according to the municipality, the list of affected areas may change due to ring feeds within the network. Residents in affected areas are cautioned that the electrical network must be treated as live at all times during the outage period.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we carry out this essential maintenance to improve the reliability of our power supply,” the municipality said.
