Faith groups join to help people in need with food, clothes, and health services

From hearts to hands, Victory Family Church and Chariots of Light serve the community with love and care.

Chariots of Light International teamed up with Victory Family Church and offered compassionate care to the community. The event on October 4 provided free meals, clothing, entertainment, and essential medical and support services to community members who attended.

Bertus Kruger, one of the organisers, said, “Our purpose is to share the love of Jesus and tell people who He is in the process. It’s more than charity; it’s ministry, it’s love in action.”

For many, the event wasn’t just about receiving help; it was about being seen. Maria Ndlovu, a mother of three who attended, said, “I came here hungry and tired, but I’m leaving with food, clothes for my children, and a smile on my face. Today, I felt human again.”

Pastor Adriani van der Lith leads the event with passion and purpose, inspiring volunteers and attendees alike.

The event was also a platform to promote the Street Closet Project, an ongoing initiative that provides clothing and essentials to those in need throughout the year.

Pastor Adriani van der Lith said, “We are so privileged to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Bringing hope, salvation, and love to the community of eMalahleni is not a once-off event; it’s our mission.”

Pastor Adriani invites anyone who would like to donate clothes or support the Street Closet Project to contact the church office at 079 695 7007.
