Lunga Q returns with iLOVEBACK (Dilika Ntaba)
For Lunga Q, the new heartfelt track was in celebration of his 30th birthday.
Lunga Qwabe (30), also known as Lunga Q, has once again captured hearts with his latest single, ‘iLOVEBACK’ (Dilika Ntaba) – a track that blends raw emotion with powerful storytelling.
Lunga Q, a rising South African singer-songwriter born in Bethal and raised in the City of Coal, is known for his soulful storytelling and ability to weave personal experiences into music that resonates widely.
According to Lunga Q, the song tells a relatable story of regret, accountability, and the longing for redemption. It follows a man who has destroyed a meaningful relationship and marriage through poor decisions – cheating, mistreatment, and prioritising friends over his partner. Unlike many narratives where pride prevents remorse, this one centres on a man who fully acknowledges his mistakes and their consequences.
“I just decided to release my fifth single on my 30th birthday,” said Lunga Q.
Using “mountains” as a metaphor, Lunga Q illustrates the emotional, spiritual, and relational barriers standing between him and his wife. In humility, he expresses a willingness to do whatever it takes to remove these obstacles, including seeking guidance from elders and spiritual leaders.
At its core, iLOVEBACK is a plea for forgiveness and reconciliation – a confession from a man who simply wants his wife and family back. The themes of accountability, love, and restoration resonate strongly across relationships and communities, making the track both personal and universal.
