Counting the days to the Geringer Street market

A street turned into a market – Geringer Street is going to be a hub of excitement on March 7.

Excitement is building up as the Geringer Street Market is adding more and more fun things to do on their already fabulous menu.

Fitness fundi’s, these two are especially for you.

For the seasoned cyclists, the day begins early with a 50km off-road ride.

Starting at the Witbank Dam entrance, riders will tackle the route and are expected to finish at the Engen garage in Geringer Street around 07:45.

Entry – one tin of non-perishable pet or human food.

If the 50km cycle sounds too daunting, the fun run will be just the thing for you.

Starting and ending at the Engen garage, the 2km route along Geringer Street can be completed multiple times by those looking for a longer workout.

Registration starts at 07:30 and the fun run will start at 08:00.

Medals will be awarded to the first 400 finishers.

Participants are encouraged to dress up and well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome.

For this fun run the entry is also a can of non-perishable human or pet food.

As the morning heats up, the focus shifts to the passport competition

This initiative turns your shopping spree into a scavenger hunt.

How it works:

  • Customers collect a ‘passport’ listing all participating businesses.
  • As they visit the stalls, they will receive stickers and once 80% of the stickers are collected, the ‘passport’ is entered into a lucky draw.

Don’t miss out on the action, see you at the Geringer Street Market on March 7.
