Ward 33 residents benefit from Clr Kim’s clothes drive

The donations of essentials aimed to bring relief to less fortunate households and residents answered the call to support their neighbours in need.

Ward 33 continues to shine as a community of compassion and generosity following successful donations to those in need in the City of Coal.

On February 28, residents in need gathered at Ronelle Park, Extension 41, to collect clothing, shoes, books, and bedding that had been donated by fellow community members.

The initiative was spearheaded by DA Councillor Kim Fourie, who reached out to the Ward 33 community through her groups, encouraging donations to assist the vulnerable.

This marked her third successful collection drive in the ward, further cementing her dedication to uplifting those in need.

Reflecting on the event, Fourie shared: “Helping the needy is something I find fulfilling and heartwarming.”

She further emphasised that her message to the community was equally inspiring.

“The collection drive will be taking place again to assist the needy. Thanks to everyone who donated, and let’s keep spreading the love,” she said.

According to Fourie, the success of the drive demonstrates the strength of unity in Ward 33.

By responding to Fourie’s call, residents ensured that families and individuals facing hardship could walk away with essentials to ease their daily lives.

With another collection already in the pipeline, Ward 33 is proving that kindness and solidarity can transform lives.
