Foreign national accused of raping young disabled man back in court

The accused is expected to make his first appearance in the eMalahleni Regional Court for the establishment of his trial date.

An Ethiopian shop owner accused of raping a 21-year-old man living with disability is expected to appear in the eMalahleni Magistrate’s Court today.

This comes after his appearance on January 28, when his case was postponed and transferred to the eMalahleni Regional Court for the establishment of his trial date and a plea on the charges against him.

With charges of allegedly raping the Kwa-Guqa young man living with disability, the accused remains in custody as he was denied bail on December 11.
