Schools lock horns at Panorama sports day

Most of the games were friendly matches hosted in preparation for the upcoming league.

The Laerskool Panorama sports field was buzzing with exciting energy as the school hosted other schools for netball and rugby matches.

On March 14, different schools locked horns at the sports field for the U13 girls’ netball and U7 boys’ rugby.

According to Estian Jansen van Vuuren from Panorama, most of the games were friendly matches hosted in preparation for the league starting soon.

“Most of the games played were friendlies,” he said, adding that they also had other games which formed part of a competition, like the 7s tournament.

Estian said the day was a resounding success as it focused more on sportsmanship and skill development rather than just the final scores.

“Everything went well. We had no troubles at all, and everyone really enjoyed the day,” he said.
