Witbank High strikes perfect notes at Eisteddfod

Witbank High School emerged as a dominant force in the competition, securing an impressive four first-place finishes.

The 2026 ABC Motsepe South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE) transformed the Civic Theatre into a sanctuary of beautiful song.

This year, the theme was ‘Celebrating Workers’ month through music’.

Talented learners from the Emalahleni and Victor Khanye cluster participated in various categories, ranging from the technical opera solo sessions to the more intimate harmonies of the small ensemble.

The ABC Motsepe Foundation, in partnership with the Department of Basic Education, plays a major role in promoting school competitions focussing on music, sports, and academic excellence, especially through the SASCE.
