HGH wraps up hockey season with intense matches against Oosterland

Though all teams delivered their best perfomances, the hosts still suffered two losses against their opponents.

Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog (HGH) recently hosted Hoërskool Oosterland to wrap up their hockey league for the season.

The sports day on May 16 featured a series of hard-fought matches between teams from the two schools.

The U14 battled hard but ended up suffering a 0–2 defeat against Oosterland. The U15 came and turned things around, securing the hosts a 2–0 victory.

It became a goalless draw between the U16s as both teams brought their A-game to the field. The last match between the first teams came, and although HGH tried to deliver their best performance, Oosterland still dominated with a 3–1 win.

Although two teams from HGH lost their games, the organisers still commended their players for putting their best foot forward.

“It was tough competition, but they played very well,” said one of the organisers.
