Laerskool Tasbetpark headboy takes the lead to ‘Pad a Girl Child’
The head boy’s appeal comes after the school launched the ‘Pad a Girl Child – Dignity Drive’ in support of girls both within and outside the school.
Laerskool Tasbetpark’s headboy, Letago Motsepe, has reached out to WITBANK NEWS with an appeal to the public to support the school’s Pad a Girl Child – Dignity Drive.
This initiative aims to ensure that no girl misses valuable learning time due to a lack of sanitary pads.
Letago stated that for many learners, the absence of these basic necessities can lead to discomfort, embarrassment, and even absenteeism. By providing access to sanitary products, the school is working to restore dignity, build confidence, and empower female learners to fully participate in their education.
“Many young girls struggle during difficult times because sanitary products are expensive. We kindly ask members of the community, businesses, and organisations to support our campaign by donating sanitary pads. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference in a learner’s life and help restore dignity and confidence,” Letago said.
Letago emphasised that the campaign is not only about meeting a basic need but also about creating a caring and supportive environment where every learner can thrive. He urged community members, businesses, and organisations to contribute.
